Description

The ESP MagDuo is a resettable manual fire alarm call point with IP65 ingress protection, designed for surface-mount installation on conventional 2-wire fire alarm systems. The red polycarbonate housing measures 120mm square with a 70mm projection and contains a built-in end-of-line resistor, reducing wiring complexity on installation.

Designed for indoor and outdoor use where dust and water ingress is a concern, the IP65 rating protects the internal electronics from jet-wash cleaning, heavy rain and coastal spray. The call point suits commercial, industrial and marine environments including warehouses, loading bays, outdoor walkways, car parks and plant rooms. The 2-wire connection integrates with conventional fire alarm panels without needing separate alarm and monitoring circuits.

The resettable mechanism allows the call point to be reset after activation using a key (included with the device base), avoiding the need to replace consumable glass or plastic elements after every test or accidental activation. The white fascia displays the standard break-glass symbol in black, maintaining clear visibility in low-light conditions. The included device base allows the call point to be surface-mounted directly to masonry, rendered blockwork or weather-resistant backing boards without needing a separate back box.

IP65 means the call point is protected against dust ingress (the "6") and low-pressure water jets from any direction (the "5"). It can withstand heavy rain, jet-washing and coastal spray, making it suitable for outdoor installation and industrial environments with regular washdown cleaning.

How is the call point reset after activation?

The MagDuo uses a key-reset mechanism. After activation, insert the reset key (included with the device base) into the slot on the side of the housing and turn to reset the call point. This avoids the need to replace glass or plastic elements after testing or accidental activation.
