Description

The ESP accessible toilet alarm light and buzzer module combines a red LED indicator and 80dB audible alert behind a white urea faceplate measuring 92mm square. Designed for use with the ESP UDTA accessible toilet alarm kit, the module provides both visual and audible confirmation when an emergency pull cord is activated in a disabled toilet or changing facility.

The module is typically surface-mounted outside the accessible toilet door or in an adjacent corridor where staff or caregivers can see and hear the alert. The red triangular LED gives a clear visual signal visible from several metres away, while the 80dB buzzer provides an audible alert loud enough to be heard in adjacent rooms. The module connects to the UDTA control panel via low-voltage wiring and resets when the alarm is acknowledged at the control unit.

The white urea body is impact-resistant and suitable for commercial environments including care homes, hospitals, leisure centres, retail facilities and office buildings where accessible toilet facilities are required under UK building regulations. The surface back box is included, allowing the module to be fitted directly to plasterboard or masonry walls without requiring a recessed box. The 92mm square footprint matches standard UK accessory dimensions for a consistent appearance alongside switches and sockets.

Frequently Asked

Is this module sold as part of the UDTA kit or separately?

This module is sold separately and is designed to work with the ESP UDTA accessible toilet alarm kit. The main UDTA kit includes the control panel, pull cords and reset button, while this module provides the remote visual and audible alert.

Where should the module be mounted?

The module is typically surface-mounted outside the accessible toilet door or in an adjacent corridor where staff or caregivers can see and hear the alert. It should be positioned at eye level (approximately 1.5m from floor level) and in a location where both the LED and buzzer can be noticed quickly.

What voltage does the module operate on?

The module operates on low voltage supplied by the UDTA control panel. Exact voltage and wiring specifications are detailed in the product manual linked in the Downloads section.

How loud is the 80dB buzzer?

80dB is comparable to a loud alarm clock or doorbell and is audible in adjacent rooms and corridors in typical commercial buildings. The sound level complies with requirements for accessible toilet alarm systems under UK building regulations.
