Description
The Erich is a 12-light chandelier built around a branching nickel-finished metal frame carrying twelve blown white glass globe shades. Each globe houses an E14 bulb (sold separately), and the asymmetric arm arrangement spreads the light across a 110cm width, making this a large-scale fitting designed for open-plan living rooms, dining areas above 3.5m tables, and double-height entrance halls.
The chandelier ships with adjustable cable suspension allowing installation heights between 70cm and 140cm from ceiling to the base of the lowest globe. At minimum drop the fitting sits close to the ceiling plane, functioning almost as a semi-flush mount; at maximum extension it creates a dramatic vertical statement in high-ceilinged spaces. The nickel frame provides a cool metallic contrast against the soft white glass, which diffuses light without glare when fitted with frosted or opal E14 bulbs.
The blown glass globes vary slightly in size across the fitting, with the largest measuring approximately 15cm diameter and the smallest around 10cm. This size variation is intentional, adding organic asymmetry to the geometric frame structure. The nickel finish is polished rather than brushed, giving reflective highlights that catch natural light during the day. The frame itself is constructed from tubular metal in varying diameters, with the thickest central stem at approximately 25mm and the thinner branch arms tapering to 12mm where they meet the glass globe mounts.
At 110cm width the Erich requires ceiling height clearance of at least 2.6m when set to minimum drop, and works best in rooms with 3m+ ceilings where the full adjustable range can be used. The IP20 rating limits installation to dry indoor areas only. Total weight including all twelve glass globes is approximately 6kg, requiring a secure ceiling fixing into either a joist or a suitable ceiling rose anchor.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take and are they included?
The Erich takes twelve E14 small Edison screw bulbs, maximum 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this fitting with 4-6W LED E14 bulbs in 2700K-3000K warm white to achieve soft ambient light without excessive glare from the white glass globes.
What ceiling height is needed?
The adjustable drop ranges from 70cm to 140cm. At minimum drop the chandelier requires a ceiling height of at least 2.6m to avoid head clearance issues. The fitting works best in rooms with 3m or higher ceilings where the full vertical range can be used to create presence.
Is the height adjustable after installation?
The suspension cable is adjusted during installation by shortening or lengthening the cable run inside the ceiling rose before final fixing. Once installed the height is fixed unless the chandelier is taken down and the cable re-adjusted.
Can it be used on a dimmer switch?
Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs used. If you fit dimmable LED E14 bulbs, the chandelier can be controlled by a compatible LED dimmer switch. Standard non-dimmable LED bulbs will not work with a dimmer and may flicker or fail.
