Description

Approximately 2475 goose feathers set over a textile and steel base give our Eos Up its soft, layered surface. We chose feathers for the way they catch and diffuse light, and here they form a flat circular pad rather than a dome, mounted close against the ceiling or wall. This is the Large size, measuring 70cm in diameter and 27cm in height, so it reads as a generous circle of white overhead or on a wall. At around 1.15kg it stays light for its scale, and the whole thing carries UKCA, CE, IP2X and RDS Standard markings.

It is designed as a surface mounted lamp, which means it sits flush and works well where a recessed fitting is not an option. It takes two bulbs, so please note that both are needed for it to light evenly; the fitting accepts E14, E27 or GU24 bulbs up to a maximum of 15W LED, and we do not include the bulbs so you can pick the warmth you prefer. We would suggest a lower Kelvin bulb around 2700K for a calm glow that plays to the feathers. Assembly takes roughly 15 minutes, and we provide an assembly video to walk you through each step.

Because the covering is a natural white feather, we recommend keeping it out of direct sun, since strong exposure can cause fading over time. The Large version uses the goose feather, textile and steel construction of the whole Eos Up range, with the same white finish throughout. Whether you mount it above a dining table or set it high on a hallway wall, it gives us a gentle, sculptural point of light that feels quiet in a room. This fitting is for indoor use only, so keep it well away from damp or exposed spots.
