Description

Our Eos Lampshade Large is made from approximately 4050 goose feathers layered over a textile and steel structure, giving it a soft, rounded form. This shade is built to sit wider than it is tall, with a gently domed profile that catches and diffuses light through its feathered surface rather than a smooth panel. The feathers carry a Light Blue colour that reads as calm and airy, giving the piece a cloud like quality without being a perfect sphere. At 40cm tall and 60cm in diameter, it holds a generous presence while weighing only around 0.6kg, so the overall effect stays light and floating overhead.

The Eos works in more than one setting, and it can be used as a pendant, a floor or a table lampshade to suit how you live. It takes an E27 fitting with a maximum 15W LED bulb, which is not included, so we would suggest choosing one that throws a warm, even glow to make the most of the feathers. Assembly is straightforward and takes around five minutes, and we provide a short assembly video to walk you through it. The goose feathers used here meet the RDS Standard, something that matters to us when we source the materials that go into our lighting.

To care for the shade, we recommend keeping it away from damp and dusting it gently now and then to keep the feathers sitting evenly.
