Enluma Crystal 16 Light Chandelier - Gold

The Enluma is a 700mm crystal chandelier with 16 E14 bulb positions arranged across a gold-finished metal frame. The upper ring holds faceted crystal beads in a dense band, while vertical crystal prisms hang below to create a curtain of cut glass around the centre. When lit, the crystals refract light into rainbow flashes across walls and ceilings, combining ambient light with decorative sparkle.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and double-height spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Enluma sits 700mm wide and 270mm deep before accounting for the chain drop. The 16 bulbs provide high combined light output when paired with LED or halogen E14 candles, making the fitting suitable for primary room lighting rather than accent only. Dimmer-compatible circuitry allows the brightness to be adjusted from full output for dining and entertaining down to softer levels for evening ambiance.

The gold finish on the metal frame reads as a warm polished brass tone rather than bright yellow gold, pairing well with warm whites, creams and traditional wood furniture. The faceted crystal beads and prisms are precision-cut glass rather than acrylic, giving sharper refractions and a weightier feel to the fitting. The combined weight of the metal frame and crystal elements gives the chandelier substantial presence without overwhelming a standard 3m x 4m dining room.

Enluma is manufactured by Ideal Lux in Italy and carries a 5-year warranty. The chandelier arrives partially assembled, with the crystal prisms packed separately to prevent transit damage. Installation requires a ceiling rose capable of supporting 8-10kg and standard UK 230V mains wiring.

What bulbs does the Enluma take?

The chandelier takes 16 E14 small Edison screw bulbs, typically candle-style LED or halogen bulbs. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candles at 2700K-3000K for a warm glow through the crystals.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. The Enluma is rated as dimmable and works with standard leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmer switches when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulb model chosen, so verify the bulb specification before pairing with a dimmer.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fitting itself is 270mm deep, plus chain drop and canopy height. For a dining table installation the chandelier typically hangs 700-900mm above the table surface, which requires a ceiling height of at least 2.7m. Higher ceilings allow for longer chain drops and greater visual impact.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the mains power before cleaning. Remove dust with a dry microfibre cloth or a soft brush. For more thorough cleaning, individual crystal prisms can be wiped with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water, then dried immediately to prevent water marks. Avoid household sprays and chemical cleaners on the crystals.
