Description

Energizer Power AAA alkaline batteries deliver 1.5V output in the standard LR03 format, supplied here in a 24-battery pack. Each cell uses zinc-manganese dioxide chemistry to provide consistent voltage throughout discharge, making them suitable for moderate-drain devices like remote controls, wall clocks, torches, wireless mice and battery-powered toys.

Designed for both household and light commercial use, these batteries carry a 7-year shelf life when stored at room temperature, allowing them to be kept as spares without degradation. The leak-resistant construction uses an improved seal to reduce the risk of electrolyte leakage during storage, protecting device terminals and internal circuitry. The 24-pack format suits homes and small businesses needing regular battery replacements across multiple devices.

The yellow and black Energizer branding on each cell makes them easily identifiable in a battery drawer or tool bag. At approximately 11g per cell, they weigh slightly less than rechargeable NiMH equivalents but deliver higher initial voltage, which some devices require to function correctly. Once depleted, the alkaline chemistry is not rechargeable and the cells should be disposed of through appropriate battery recycling schemes.

Frequently Asked

How long do these batteries last in storage?

Energizer rates these cells with a 7-year shelf life when stored at room temperature (around 20°C). Storing them in cooler conditions can extend this slightly, while storing them in hot environments will reduce it.

Are AAA and LR03 the same thing?

Yes. AAA is the common consumer name for the size, while LR03 is the IEC designation for alkaline cells of this size. They are identical and interchangeable.

Can these be recharged?

No. Alkaline cells are designed for single use only. Attempting to recharge them can cause leakage or rupture. For rechargeable AAA batteries, look for NiMH cells rated at 1.2V.

What devices are these best suited for?

These work well in moderate-drain devices like remote controls, wall clocks, torches, wireless keyboards and mice, battery-powered toys, and small LED lights. High-drain devices like digital cameras may drain alkaline cells faster than rechargeable alternatives.
