Description

The Energizer 386/301 is a silver oxide button cell battery delivering 1.55V output for watches, calculators, medical instruments and small precision electronics. Each battery uses silver oxide chemistry rather than alkaline, providing stable voltage throughout the discharge curve — the voltage remains consistent until the battery is nearly depleted, rather than dropping gradually from the start.

Supplied as a 10-pack, the 386/301 fits devices requiring SR43, SR43W, SR43SW, SR1142, V386, D386, 606, 280-13, SB-A1, RW42 or 301 cell sizes (check your device manual for compatibility). The cell diameter is 11.6mm with a height of 4.2mm, and each battery weighs approximately 1g. The silver oxide construction gives these batteries a longer service life than equivalent alkaline button cells in constant-draw applications such as analogue watches.

Silver oxide cells maintain charge when stored, with a shelf life of several years when kept at room temperature in the original packaging. The leak-resistant seal minimises the risk of corrosion inside the device compartment. Energizer rates these batteries for operating temperatures between -10°C and 60°C, covering most indoor and body-worn applications.

Frequently Asked

What devices use 386/301 batteries?

Analogue watches, digital calculators, small medical devices (glucometers, thermometers), laser pointers, small LED torches, and some hearing aids. The 386/301 is also sold under reference codes SR43, SR1142, V386 and 280-13 depending on manufacturer.

How long do these batteries last?

Service life depends on the device and usage pattern. In a typical analogue watch drawing 5-10 microamps, a 386/301 can last 2-3 years. In higher-draw devices the lifespan is shorter. Silver oxide cells provide stable voltage for most of their service life, then drop off sharply when depleted.

Can I use these instead of alkaline button cells?

Yes, if the voltage matches. Silver oxide 386/301 cells provide 1.55V, which is slightly higher than the 1.5V nominal rating of alkaline equivalents. Most devices tolerate this difference. Silver oxide cells maintain more consistent voltage and generally last longer in constant-draw applications.

How should I store spare batteries?

Keep them in the original blister packaging at room temperature, away from metal objects that could short-circuit the cells. Silver oxide batteries retain charge for several years when stored correctly.

Shipping & Returns

Free worldwide delivery

Free worldwide delivery on all orders over £99. International orders for third-party brand products may be subject to an additional courier surcharge based on volumetric weight, particularly on larger lighting fixtures — if a surcharge applies, our team will email you with the amount before dispatch and you can proceed or cancel for a full refund.
