Description

The Emily is a 5-light chandelier with upward-curving arms finished in copper patina, each arm topped with a frosted glass cone shade. A twisted ribbon detail runs the length of the central column, giving the frame a hand-forged appearance. The five E14 bulb fittings (bulbs sold separately) sit inside the frosted glass, diffusing light outward and upward to provide ambient room lighting rather than directed task light.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living areas with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Emily pairs traditional metalwork with clean-lined proportions that sit comfortably in both period and contemporary interiors. The copper patina finish ages over time, developing a darker tonal variation that adds depth to the metal. The chandelier is supplied with chain suspension and a flush-convert system, allowing it to be ceiling-mounted with minimal drop where needed.

The five arms spread symmetrically from the central column, giving the chandelier a balanced presence when viewed from below. Each frosted glass shade sits approximately 600mm from the centre point, producing a spread of around 550mm diameter at the widest point. The hand-crafted construction means slight variations in the ribbon detailing and arm positioning occur between individual pieces. The copper finish pairs with warm-toned wood furniture, brass fixtures and earthy textiles without clashing with cooler greys or white walls.

The chandelier takes five E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining and living room lighting.

Yes. The Emily is supplied with a flush-convert system that allows the chandelier to be mounted with minimal drop from the ceiling where headroom is limited or a lower-profile fitting is preferred.

What ceiling height is needed?

The chandelier suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In dining rooms the fitting typically hangs 700-900mm above the table surface, which requires a ceiling height of around 2.5m minimum once the drop and chandelier height are accounted for.

How is the copper patina finish maintained?

The copper patina develops a darker tonal variation over time as the finish ages naturally. To maintain the original appearance, wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For cleaning, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water and dry immediately. Avoid household polishes and chemical cleaners, which can strip the patina.
