Description

The Emery is a 203mm mini pendant light with a Palladian Bronze metal shade, prismatic glass lens diffuser, and brass accent detailing at the pendant head. The shade flares from a narrow 70mm neck to a 203mm diameter bell, housing a single E27 bulb behind the ribbed glass lens. The drop is adjustable between 345mm and 1259mm on installation via a rod and canopy system.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars and utility rooms requiring directed task light, the Emery works as a single fitting over a narrow peninsula or in a run of two or three above a 1.8-2.4m island. The prismatic lens cuts the direct glare from the bulb while maintaining downward output onto a worktop 700-900mm below the fitting. The adjustable drop allows the pendant to sit at the correct height for different ceiling configurations without re-wiring.

The Palladian Bronze finish is a warm, lightly oxidised metal tone that sits between aged brass and oil-rubbed bronze, with a low-sheen surface that resists fingerprints and pairs with both warm woods and cooler painted cabinetry. The metal construction gives the fitting a solid 1.1kg presence without requiring reinforced ceiling fixings in typical residential installations. The brass accents at the bulb holder and canopy add tonal contrast to the darker shade body.

What bulb does the Emery take?

The fitting takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 6-8W and 2700K for kitchen task lighting.

Can multiple Emery pendants be installed in a row?

Yes. The compact 203mm diameter allows two or three Emery pendants to be spaced 600-900mm apart above a kitchen island or breakfast bar without visual crowding. Each pendant requires its own ceiling rose connection point.

How is the drop length adjusted?

The drop is set during installation by threading the rod through the canopy to the desired length between 345mm and 1259mm. Once the canopy is fixed to the ceiling rose, the rod length is locked and cannot be adjusted without removing the canopy.

Does the prismatic lens reduce light output?

The ribbed glass lens diffuses the light from the bulb to reduce direct glare, but does not significantly reduce total light output. It redirects some of the light sideways while maintaining strong downward illumination onto the worktop below.
