Description

The Emblaze is a 5-light semi-flush ceiling light built around a central polished chrome hub with five branching arms, each ending in a white opal glass globe. Each globe houses an E14 bulb (sold separately), with the frosted glass diffusing light evenly across the room. The chrome arms extend in a molecular formation, creating a 550mm diameter spread from the centre point.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4-2.7m where a full pendant drop would hang too low, the Emblaze projects 500mm from the ceiling rose, making it suitable for living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. The five globes provide distributed light across a 4-5m room without creating a central hot spot. The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible dimmers and dimmable E14 bulbs, allowing output to be adjusted from full brightness for task visibility down to ambient evening levels.

The polished chrome finish on the metal framework provides high reflectivity that amplifies the light output from the five globes, while the white opal glass prevents glare and softens the beam. The molecular branch structure means the light casts from multiple points rather than a single source, reducing harsh shadows. The 550mm width suits rooms 3.5-5m across without overwhelming smaller spaces or disappearing in larger ones.

The IP20 rating limits this fitting to dry indoor use only. Yes, the fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable E14 bulbs. Standard non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail when used with a dimmer. Check bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before purchase.

What bulbs does it take?

The Emblaze takes five E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Most users fit 4-6W warm-white LED bulbs at 2700K-3000K for residential use. The maximum wattage per socket is listed in the installation guide supplied with the fitting.

What ceiling height does it need?

The 500mm projection from ceiling to lowest point of the globes works best in rooms with 2.4-2.7m ceiling heights. In taller rooms the fitting may appear too close to the ceiling; in lower rooms it may intrude into headroom, particularly if positioned above circulation routes.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The IP20 rating means this fitting is not protected against moisture.
