Elsa 25cm Double Glass Pendant Light - Clear & Frosted

The Elsa is a 25cm diameter pendant light built from two concentric glass spheres, a clear outer sphere housing a frosted inner diffuser. The single E27 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the frosted core, which softens and distributes the light before it passes through the transparent outer layer. This double-layer construction creates a gradual transition from bright centre to ambient edge.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and entrance halls, the Elsa works best where a single pendant can light a 1.2-1.5m surface from 700-900mm above. The 2350mm cable is adjustable during installation, allowing the drop height to be set based on ceiling height and the position of furniture below. The E27 fitting accepts LED, filament or halogen bulbs up to the wattage limit stated in the specification, and dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen.

The layered glass design weighs 1.27kg and requires a secure ceiling fixing suitable for that load. The clear outer sphere measures exactly 250mm across and shows the frosted inner globe suspended inside, creating a visible contrast between translucent and transparent glass. The pendant fits standard UK ceiling roses and the cable conceals wiring within the flex. The combination of clear and frosted glass suits both contemporary interiors with hard edges and softer, transitional schemes needing a neutral anchor point.

What bulb does it take?

The Elsa takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. The wattage limit depends on the fitting certification. See the Specification table. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb you choose. The pendant itself supports dimming when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim, regardless of the switch used.

How is the cable length adjusted?

The 2350mm cable is adjusted during installation by shortening the visible drop at the ceiling rose fixing point. Once installed, the drop height is fixed unless the pendant is taken down and re-fitted.

How is the glass cleaned?

Wipe the outer and inner glass spheres with a dry microfibre cloth when the bulb is cool and power is switched off. For fingerprints or smudges, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the fitting or getting moisture into the lamp holder.
