Description

The Elsa is a 17cm diameter glass pendant light with a dual-layer construction: an outer cylinder of polished chrome-finish glass surrounding an inner frosted glass diffuser. A single E27 bulb sits inside the frosted layer, with the light passing through the matte inner surface before reflecting off the chrome outer shell. The two-glass system reduces glare and spreads light more evenly than a single-layer shade.

Designed for suspension over kitchen islands, breakfast bars, dining tables and countertop workspaces, the Elsa works as a single pendant or in multiples spaced 400-600mm apart for wider surfaces. The 2350mm cable allows height adjustment during installation, with most users positioning the pendant 700-900mm above the surface depending on ceiling height. The chrome outer finish reflects ambient light during the day, giving the fitting visual presence even when switched off.

The cylindrical form measures 170mm diameter by approximately 220mm height including the chrome cap and cable grip, weighing 1.21kg. The E27 fitting accepts standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to the wattage specified by the bulb manufacturer. Most users pair this pendant with a 6-10W LED in 2700K-3000K for task lighting or 4000K for kitchen prep areas. Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen and the dimmer model used.

Is the Elsa dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb you fit and the dimmer switch used. LED bulbs marked as dimmable work with most trailing-edge dimmers, but check compatibility before pairing. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will flicker or fail to dim, and may reduce lifespan if used with a dimmer.

What bulb does it take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit a 6-10W LED in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient lighting or 4000K for task lighting over kitchen worktops.

Can the chrome outer glass be cleaned?

Yes. The polished chrome-finish glass can be wiped with a microfibre cloth and glass cleaner. Switch off and allow the bulb to cool before cleaning. The frosted inner diffuser is not easily accessible without disassembly.

What height should the pendant hang at?

For dining tables or kitchen islands, position the pendant 700-900mm above the surface. The 2350mm cable can be shortened during installation to suit different ceiling heights, typically leaving 400-600mm of visible cable drop.
