Description

Clear glass and polished chrome sit together in a broad, shallow disc that stays close to the ceiling rather than hanging below it. Five G9 capsules are spaced across the plate, so light comes from several small points instead of one bright one, and the glass picks it up and passes it along. The chrome is polished to a mirror brightness that keeps the fitting looking light on its feet, even across a 52cm span.

We reach for this where a pendant would hang too low: hallways, landings, a bedroom with a modest ceiling height, or a small dining area where headroom matters. The spread of lamps across the width gives soft, even coverage without one hot spot overhead, which suits rooms used in the evening as much as those simply passed through. Dimmable capsules and a compatible dimmer will bring the level down when you want it lower, and both are chosen separately. We stock the same fitting in antique brass if chrome is not the finish for your room.

The shade is clear glass on a chrome-finished metal frame, and the whole thing is light in the hand. Keep it looking right by switching off, letting the glass cool, then wiping with a barely damp cloth and drying it off; nothing abrasive near the polished metal, since the shine is what does the work here. It carries a one year warranty. Across the Elm range there are three light versions of this ceiling light, single and twin wall lights, and table and floor lamps, so a whole room can be matched in the same chrome and clear glass. Lamps are not included.
