Description

This little elephant snow globe sets a grey elephant on a tree stump inside a clear round globe, its trunk raised high as if to greet whoever picks it up. Beneath the globe, a light brown base is modelled to look like tree bark, with a scalloped dark brown rim around the top and tiny gold stars dotted across the front. The words YOU ARE amazing run across the bark, the first two in capitals and the last in a looping hand. Give the globe a gentle turn and a flurry of gold star glitter swirls around the elephant before settling back at its feet. The piece is made of resin and stands 10.5cm tall, 7.5cm wide and 7.5cm deep, small enough to hold in one hand.

At this size it sits happily on a bookshelf, a chest of drawers or a bedside table, and its soft brown and clear tones settle in easily beside natural wood, cream and gentle pastels. The message on the front makes it a warm gift for new parents, a small keepsake to mark their baby's arrival and a kind word of encouragement in the early weeks. It is a decorative piece to look at and keep rather than something to play with, so we suggest a shelf out of reach of little hands. The back of the base is plain bark with no wording, so it looks finished from every side of the room.

The bark-effect base gives the globe a steady footing on any flat surface, so there is nothing to hang or fix to a wall. Dust the globe and base with a soft dry cloth and wipe away any marks with a lightly damp cloth. Wrapped in tissue with a handwritten card, it makes a thoughtful present to take along when visiting a family with a newborn.

Frequently Asked

How big is the elephant snow globe?

It stands 10.5cm tall and measures 7.5cm wide and 7.5cm deep, a size that suits a shelf, a chest of drawers or a bedside table.

What is the snow globe made of?

The snow globe is made of resin. It has a light brown bark-effect base with a dark brown scalloped rim around the top.

What does the wording on the front say?

The front of the base reads YOU ARE amazing. The first two words are in capitals and the last is in a flowing script, with small gold stars on either side.

Does anything move inside the globe?

Yes. When you turn the globe gently, gold star glitter swirls around the grey elephant. It then drifts slowly back down and settles at the elephant's feet.

Is it a good gift for new parents?

We think so. The encouraging message and the little elephant make it a warm keepsake that new parents can keep on a shelf as their baby grows.

How do I look after the snow globe?

Dust the globe and the bark-effect base with a soft dry cloth, and wipe away any marks with a lightly damp cloth when needed.
