Description

The Egeo is a 41cm linear LED wall light with a matt black rectangular housing and an integrated 14W LED strip that produces 1100 lumens of 2700K warm white light. The LED runs the full length of the fitting, creating a continuous strip of light rather than individual points. The housing measures 35mm wide and projects 90mm from the wall, giving it a low-profile presence that works where wall space is limited.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms (non-IP rated — see FAQ), and as feature lighting along corridors or above headboards, the Egeo functions as both task and accent lighting. The 410mm length suits single installation above a mirror, bedside table or console, or can be grouped in multiples to create a rhythmic pattern along a longer wall. The 1100lm output provides functional illumination for tasks like applying makeup or reading, while the 2700K colour temperature keeps the light warm rather than clinical.

The matt black powder-coated aluminium housing absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, making the fitting appear as a defined black line when off and a glowing strip when on. The 90mm projection allows the fitting to clear most skirting boards and door architraves when installed at lower heights. The non-dimmable driver is contained within the housing, so no separate control gear is needed during installation. The 14W consumption makes the Egeo significantly more efficient than a traditional 60W halogen equivalent.

Is the Egeo dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The fitting operates at full 1100lm output when switched on.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Egeo carries no IP rating and is not certified for bathroom zones. It can be used in a bathroom outside the defined zones (typically more than 60cm from a bath or shower), but should not be installed directly above or adjacent to water sources.

What is the light direction?

The Egeo casts light both upwards and downwards from the linear housing, creating a wash effect on the wall behind it. It does not project light directly forward into the room.

How is it mounted?

The fitting mounts to a standard UK wall box or directly to the wall surface using the supplied bracket. The 90mm projection and 0.84kg weight mean it can be fixed to plasterboard with appropriate fixings, or directly to masonry with the included screws.
