Description

The Efir is a 75mm diameter cylindrical pendant light in matte gold aluminium with an integrated 15W LED running at 3000K warm white. The cylinder measures 135mm in height and houses the LED within the metal body, which directs light downward through the open base. A matt black ceiling canopy and twin fabric-wrapped suspension cables complete the fitting.

Designed for single-drop positioning over kitchen islands, dining tables, side tables and office desks, the Efir provides directed task lighting rather than ambient wash. The adjustable suspension ranges from 165mm minimum drop (for low ceilings or where the pendant needs to sit close to the canopy) to 1365mm maximum drop, allowing the cylinder to be positioned 700-800mm above a worktop or dining surface in standard-height rooms. The 75mm diameter keeps the visual footprint compact, making it suitable for narrow island ends or small side-table positions where a wider shade would dominate.

The matte gold aluminium finish has a brushed texture that softens reflections and pairs with warm brass, aged brass and brushed gold hardware elsewhere in the room. The aluminium construction keeps the fitting light at approximately 0.8kg, reducing stress on plasterboard ceiling fixings. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations — unsuitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor canopies.

The Efir is part of Maytoni's modular pendant range and can be grouped in multiples over longer islands or bar-height tables. The integrated LED cannot be replaced, so the unit's operational lifespan depends on the LED module's rated hours (typically 25,000-30,000 hours at normal residential use).
