Glass and a warm LED filament come together in our Edison's Idea E27 bulb, a clear tubular design that lets the straight filament sit on full view behind it. We chose the T45 shape for its slim, upright profile, measuring 10.8cm in height and 4.5cm in diameter, so the glass stays neat within an open fitting rather than crowding it. At just 30g, this is a light little thing, and its screw cap fits any standard E27 base you already have around the house.

The light itself is where we spend the most care. This bulb runs at 2200K, a low and gentle warm white that reads almost amber, with a CRI of 94 so the colours in a room stay honest under it. It gives 140 lumen at an efficiency of 65 lumen per watt, drawing only 2W from a 220-240V, 50 Hz supply, and it reaches full brightness straight away with no warm-up wait. We should be clear that this bulb is not dimmable, so we would pair it with a plain switched circuit rather than a dimmer.
