Description

The Eclipsea is an 805mm linear bar wall light housing eight E14 bulb fittings in a white-painted metal frame with a 40mm projection from the wall. Each of the eight circular sockets sits behind a clear glass lens, distributing light evenly along the length of the bar. Bulbs are sold separately, allowing choice of colour temperature and wattage up to the E14 fitting's maximum rating.

Designed primarily as task lighting for bathroom mirrors, dressing room mirrors and vanity areas, the Eclipsea's 805mm width covers the span of a typical 700-900mm mirror without overhang. The shallow 40mm projection keeps the fitting close to the wall, reducing the chance of head contact when leaning forward to a mirror. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor areas (zones 3 and beyond in bathrooms), not directly above baths or inside shower enclosures.

The white powder-coated metal finish provides a neutral backdrop that pairs with white-tiled bathrooms, white sanitary ware and light-coloured walls without introducing additional colour contrast. The linear arrangement of eight bulbs minimises shadowing across a face or work surface compared to a single central bulb, which is why this configuration is common in professional makeup and grooming contexts. The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible dimmable E14 LED bulbs and a suitable dimmer switch.

The Eclipsea takes eight E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs rated at 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for bathroom mirror lighting. The fitting supports bulbs up to the E14 socket's maximum wattage.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself is dimmable-compatible. To dim the light output, pair it with dimmable E14 LED bulbs and a compatible LED dimmer switch. Non-dimmable bulbs will not respond to dimmer controls and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

Can it be used above a bathroom mirror?

Yes, but only in zone 3 or beyond (600mm+ from the edge of a bath or shower tray). The IP20 rating means the fitting is not splash-proof and must not be installed directly above a bath or inside a shower enclosure.

How is it fitted to the wall?

The Eclipsea mounts to a standard wall box via a backplate. The 805mm length means it spans approximately two wall studs in timber-framed walls, or can be fixed to masonry with appropriate wall plugs. Wiring connects to the backplate before the front cover clips on.
