Description
This round Easter wreath sets a cheerful bunny among pink flowers and green leaves. The bunny sits at the base of the ring, peeping out into the open centre. It has tall upright ears lined in a paler weave, a white muzzle and paws, round dark eyes and a small black nose, all in a warm tan with a straw-like texture. Around it, a woven ring in a soft grey-washed brown has the loose, tangled look of gathered twigs. Sprays of leaves, fern-like fronds, blush pink blossoms and little pink pompom flowers trail across both sides and the base, leaving the top of the ring bare. It is made of plastic and measures 38cm across and 6cm deep.
Easter is its moment, and at 38cm across it sits comfortably on an inside door, a hallway wall or a chimney breast without crowding the space. Hang it from an over-door wreath hanger or a sturdy wall hook, or lean it against the wall on a mantelpiece, sideboard or deep windowsill so the bunny faces the room. The brown ring and its pink and green trim sit happily with painted eggs, pastel decorations and a jug of daffodils, and it makes a cheerful focal point for Easter lunch with the family.
Kept with care, this plastic wreath can come out again each Easter. To keep it looking fresh, dust the leaves and flowers gently with a soft dry cloth. Wipe the ring with a barely damp cloth if needed, and let it dry fully before you put it away. Between Easters, store it flat in a dry cupboard with tissue around the bunny's ears so they keep their shape. We like it on the inside of the front door, where guests see it the moment they arrive, and it makes a thoughtful Easter gift for anyone who loves to dress their home for the holiday.
