Duracell Plus Power AA Batteries (LR6) - 4 Pack

A card of four AA alkaline cells from the Duracell Plus Power range, the version sold with Power Boost Actives. AA is the familiar finger-sized cylinder that sits in more household devices than any other cell, and each one here gives a nominal 1.5V. The card also prints MN1500, which is Duracell's own reference for the AA size, and our matching eight pack carries the international code LR6. If the cell you are taking out is marked AA, LR6 or MN1500, this is the same cell. Alkaline is the everyday chemistry: it is not rechargeable, and it is what the great majority of remotes, clocks and toys are built around.

Four cells is the awkward-useful number: it fills a device that takes four, or two devices that take a pair each. AA turns up in television and streaming remotes, wall clocks, wireless keyboards and mice, games controllers, kitchen scales, radios, door chimes, blood pressure monitors and hand torches, so a spare card in a drawer rarely goes to waste. Before ordering, look at how the compartment is laid out: some devices take the cells head to tail in one channel, others in pairs side by side, and the contacts are sprung differently. Will these fit a device marked LR6 or MN1500?

Yes. AA, LR6 and MN1500 all name the same cell size, so a device asking for any of those takes these four cells.

Why does the card print LR03 beside MN1500?

MN1500 is the AA code, while LR03 belongs to the smaller AAA size, so that line on the card looks like a printing error. What you receive is four AA cells.

Can I recharge these?

No. Alkaline cells are single use and should not be put on a charger. For repeat charging you want rechargeable AA cells, and we list Duracell chargers supplied with cells.

What voltage do they give?

Each cell gives a nominal 1.5V, so a device holding four of them in series sees 6V. Voltage falls gradually across the life of an alkaline cell.
