Description

The Dune Wide is a 1125mm linear track light with an integrated 40W LED module emitting 4000K neutral white light, designed for installation on 3-phase track rail systems. The black aluminium housing measures 31mm high by 32mm deep, giving a low-profile presence on the ceiling while distributing light across a wide horizontal spread suitable for retail displays, office corridors, gallery walls and workshop areas.

The 3-phase track system allows multiple Dune Wide units to be grouped onto separate circuits controlled independently, enabling zoned lighting across large floor plates without needing individual ceiling feeds for each fitting. The track adapter clips into the rail and locks the linear fitting in position along the track run. The 4000K colour temperature sits between warm white and daylight, providing good colour rendering for merchandise display and task work without the yellow cast of 3000K or the clinical blue of 6000K.

The black aluminium extrusion conceals the LED strip inside and acts as a heat sink, allowing the 40W output to run continuously in commercial environments without additional cooling. The fitting carries an IP20 rating, restricting it to indoor use only in dry locations. The non-dimmable LED driver is integrated into the housing, so no external driver box or control gear is needed beyond the track rail itself. Ideal Lux backs the fitting with a 5-year warranty covering the LED module and driver.

What is a 3-phase track system?

A 3-phase track rail contains three separate electrical circuits within a single track profile. Each circuit can be controlled independently, allowing you to switch or dim groups of track lights separately without needing multiple track rails. The Dune Wide adapter connects to one of these three phases when clipped into the rail.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 40W LED module is integrated into the aluminium housing and cannot be replaced separately. The module is rated for 50,000+ hours of operation and is covered by Ideal Lux's 5-year warranty.

Can it be used in bathrooms or outdoor covered areas?

No. The IP20 rating restricts the Dune Wide to dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens with steam exposure, or any outdoor installation including covered porches.

What colour temperature is 4000K?

4000K is neutral white, sitting between warm white (2700-3000K) and cool daylight (5000-6500K). It provides clear visibility for task work and merchandise display without the yellow cast of warmer LEDs or the blue tone of daylight LEDs.
