Description

The Dune is a 60cm diameter flush ceiling light with ten E14 bulb fittings arranged across a polished chrome frame, surrounded by tiered rows of faceted crystal droplets. The two-tier crystal arrangement creates depth and layers of refraction when lit, while the 25cm total drop keeps the fitting close to the ceiling for rooms with heights of 2.4m or below.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and dining spaces where ceiling height rules out a traditional pendant chandelier, the Dune brings crystal and chrome finish into a flush-mount format. The ten E14 bulbs (sold separately) can be fitted with candle-style LED or halogen bulbs to suit personal preference for light temperature and brightness. The polished chrome backplate sits flat against the ceiling rose, with the crystal tiers projecting down 25cm into the room.

Each crystal droplet is cut with facets that catch and scatter light across the surrounding walls and ceiling when the fitting is on. The chrome frame is polished to a mirror finish, adding reflective surfaces that amplify the light output from the bulbs. At 60cm square the Dune suits rooms of 15-25m² where it can act as the primary ceiling light, paired with dimmer control to adjust brightness for different times of day. The IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry indoor use only.

The fitting takes ten E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, each up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient bedroom or living room lighting.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 25cm drop from ceiling to lowest crystal makes the Dune suited to rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. It provides crystal chandelier appearance without the vertical projection of a suspension pendant.

Is the Dune dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs fitted. LED E14 candle bulbs marked as dimmable will work with most trailing-edge dimmers. Check the bulb packaging before pairing with a dimmer circuit.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Use a dry microfibre cloth to wipe each crystal droplet individually. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystals or getting water into the bulb fittings.
