Description

The Duna is a 480mm tall table lamp built around two curved polished chrome arcs that rise from a shared hexagonal base and arch back on themselves in opposite directions, forming an S-curve profile. Each arc is backed by a white opal acrylic diffuser panel that houses a single GU10 bulb socket, with the diffusers running the full length of the chrome frame and emitting light along their entire surface rather than from a point source.

Designed for side tables, console tables and bedside positions in contemporary interiors, the Duna functions as both task and ambient lighting depending on bulb choice. The two GU10 sockets accept standard GU10 bulbs up to 30W combined (sold separately), giving control over brightness and colour temperature. The 120mm x 170mm footprint allows the lamp to fit on compact surfaces without needing rear clearance, as both arcs curve forward from the base.

The polished chrome finish on the structural arcs reflects surrounding light and adds visual weight to the design without adding bulk, while the white acrylic diffusers soften the light output and prevent glare when the lamp is viewed from the side. The dual-arc construction gives the Duna a sculptural presence that works as a decorative object when unlit. At 2.1kg the lamp has sufficient weight to remain stable on surfaces near doors or in areas with airflow from windows.

What bulbs does the Duna take?

The lamp takes two GU10 bulbs (sold separately) with a combined maximum load of 30W. Most users pair this with two 4-6W LED GU10 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to match the lamp's contemporary styling.

Is the Duna dimmable?

No. The Duna does not support dimming. Brightness control is achieved by selecting GU10 bulbs of different wattages rather than using a dimmer switch.

How much space does it need on a table?

The base footprint is 120mm x 170mm, and the curved arcs project forward from the base rather than backwards, so the lamp does not require rear clearance. It can sit against a wall or at the edge of a console table.

Is the chrome prone to fingerprints?

Polished chrome shows fingerprints and smudges more readily than brushed or satin finishes. Wipe with a soft microfibre cloth to maintain the reflective surface. The hexagonal base is the main contact point during handling.
