The Maytoni Duality is a 16cm diameter teardrop pendant light with a double-blown glass shade in mirrored gold, suspended from a matt black ceiling canopy on an adjustable cable. The outer glass layer presents a reflective gold finish, while an inner cone-shaped glass diffuser sits within the teardrop form, creating a multi-layered light output when the E27 bulb is lit. The cable adjusts from 50.5cm to 342cm drop, allowing the pendant to be set low over a dining table or higher in a double-height space.

Designed for statement lighting over dining tables, kitchen islands, or bedside positions, the Duality pairs directed downlight through the inner cone with diffuse ambient light reflecting off the mirrored gold outer layer. The 16cm diameter keeps the pendant compact enough for single installations above side tables or grouped in multiples along a longer island. The black canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses, and the cable length can be shortened during installation by looping excess cable inside the canopy housing.

The mirrored gold finish on the outer glass reflects surrounding room light during the day, acting as a decorative element even when unlit. The pendant takes one E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to complement the gold mirrored finish.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The cable length is adjusted during installation by looping excess cable inside the ceiling canopy. Once installed, the drop height is fixed unless the pendant is taken down and re-fitted.

What's the difference between the inner and outer glass layers?

The outer layer is a mirrored gold teardrop that reflects light when the bulb is on and acts as a decorative reflective surface when off. The inner cone-shaped glass sits inside the teardrop and diffuses the bulb, directing light downward while preventing glare.
