Description

The Knightsbridge dual voltage shaver socket accepts both 115V and 230V appliances at 20VA output, making it compatible with electric shavers and toothbrushes from different voltage regions without needing a separate adapter. The smoked bronze screwless faceplate with black insert conceals all fixings behind a clip-on cover plate that sits flush to the wall.

Built for bathroom installation, the socket carries an IP41 rating, protecting internal components from solid objects over 1mm and vertically falling water droplets. This makes it safe for use in bathroom zones 2 and 3 under BS 7671 wiring regulations, typically positioned at least 600mm from a bath or shower enclosure. The socket requires a minimum 47mm back box depth and connects to mains via a fused spur or dedicated circuit.

The smoked bronze finish provides a darker metallic tone than standard brass or chrome, sitting between gunmetal grey and antique bronze in appearance.
