Description

The Drelbelle is a slim, upright LED outdoor wall light: a clear glass bar filled with tiny air bubbles, held between square top and bottom brackets on a black aluminium backplate. It stands 40cm high and 12cm wide, and comes 7cm off the wall, so it reads as a tall, narrow strip of light rather than a bulky lantern. Two integrated LED lights of 3.3W each give 340 lumens per light at 3000K, a warm white that feels welcoming after dark. It is rated IP44, which means it is protected from splashing water, so it lives outdoors on a house wall.

Its height and narrow profile suit it to either side of a front door, beside a garage door or along a garden wall, and we think a pair framing an entrance looks especially neat. Corner mounting is possible, so an outside corner of the house is an option as well as a flat wall. The black finish works with modern homes and with painted or rendered walls alike, and the bubbles in the clear glass stay visible in daylight, so the light still looks finished when it is not lit. For anyone who wants a tidy, contemporary light at the door, it is a sensible choice.
