Description

The stem rises straight and then bends forward over the top, so the lampholder sits out above the table rather than directly over the base. Ours comes in satin nickel with black, standing 50cm tall on a small footprint that tucks in neatly behind a book stack or a picture frame. It takes a single E27 lamp of up to 20W, and an inline switch on the flex puts control at the cable rather than up under a shade. The lamp is supplied without a shade, so the top is yours to choose.

That forward reach is what makes the shape useful: light lands on the page or the surface in front of it, not on the wall behind. It suits a bedside table where you want to read without the shade in your eyeline, a desk corner, or a console in an entrance hall. We often suggest it in pairs on a sideboard, and it is one we reach for in a small sitting room where a floor lamp would crowd the chair. It will dim with a compatible lamp and a separate dimmer, and the body is double insulated.

The satin nickel has a soft low shine that hides fingermarks better than a polished finish, with the black picking out the holder and flex. A light dusting along the arm keeps it right; if it needs more, a barely damp cloth over a cold lamp and a dry one straight after. It carries a one year warranty.
