The Dramenne is a nine light ceiling light in black steel, built as a frame of angular branching arms that sit close to the ceiling on a short stem from a round canopy. Each arm ends in a slim cylindrical lampholder left bare, so the bulbs themselves become part of the design. It measures 64cm across and 36.5cm high, which gives it real presence over a table or in the middle of a room without hanging low enough to crowd the space. It takes nine E27 bulbs of up to 60W each, and the bulbs are not included, so you choose the glow. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in dry rooms.

Because the lampholders point in several directions, light spreads across the ceiling and down into the room rather than falling in one pool, which suits a living room, a dining room, a hallway or a bedroom. The semi-flush build is a good answer where a long pendant would feel too low, and the black frame reads crisply against a pale ceiling. Clear filament bulbs make the most of the open holders, so pick the bulbs to match the mood you want.

The body is steel with a black finish, and there is no switch on the light itself, so it is switched at the wall.
