Description

The Douille is a single pendant light pairing a ribbed clear glass bell shade with an aged brass lamp holder and twisted fabric cable. The holder is cast from solid brass with visible ribbed detailing that echoes early 20th-century industrial lighting fittings, while the aged brass finish adds tonal variation and a muted patina that sits comfortably in both period and contemporary settings.

Designed for kitchens, hallways, dining areas and side-of-bed positions where a single decorative pendant provides both task and ambient light, the Douille works over kitchen islands when used in multiples, or as a standalone accent over a console table or reading chair. The 1000mm twisted cable is adjustable on installation between a 255mm minimum drop and a 2155mm maximum drop, allowing the pendant to be set at the correct height for ceiling roses between 2.4m and 3.6m above floor level.

The ribbed glass shade measures 100mm diameter and diffuses light from a single E27 bulb (sold separately) whilst keeping the bulb visible, making it well-suited to vintage filament-style LED bulbs where the lamp itself acts as a decorative element. The glass ribs create vertical shadow lines on surrounding surfaces when lit, adding texture to plain walls. The aged brass finish on the holder and ceiling rose shows natural tonal variation between batches, ranging from warmer amber-brass tones to cooler gunmetal-grey patinas depending on the specific casting.
