Description
The Dot is a single-fitting plaster-in recessed downlight with an adjustable tilt mechanism, a white aluminium bezel and a GU10 bulb socket rated to 50W max. The round bezel measures 118mm diameter with a 90mm width at the mounting ring and sits 40mm deep into the ceiling void once plastered in, leaving only the white metal trim and the tilting lamp holder visible from below.
Designed for new builds, refurbishments and commercial fit-outs where ceiling-mounted lighting needs to sit flush with the plaster finish, the Dot integrates into standard plasterboard ceilings by being set into the void before the final skim coat. Once plastered around, the bezel becomes part of the ceiling plane, creating a continuous surface with no visible housing or mounting hardware. The tilt mechanism allows the GU10 bulb to be angled within the aperture to direct light onto artwork, feature walls, kitchen worktops or retail displays rather than straight down.
The white powder-coated aluminium bezel resists corrosion and heat discolouration better than plastic equivalents, and the 118mm aperture suits compact GU10 LED or halogen bulbs (sold separately) up to 50W. The IP20 rating restricts the fitting to dry indoor locations — living rooms, hallways, bedrooms, offices, retail spaces and hospitality interiors where moisture is not a factor. The Dot is typically installed in multiples across a ceiling grid to provide even general lighting or in clusters to highlight specific zones.
Installation requires access to the ceiling void during construction or renovation, as the housing must be fixed in place before plastering. The white finish of the bezel blends into white or off-white ceilings, making the fitting almost invisible when not lit. A 2-year warranty covers manufacturing defects.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Dot take?
The fitting takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 50W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use a GU10 LED between 4-7W and 3000K-4000K depending on whether warm or neutral white light is preferred.
Can it be installed in an existing ceiling?
The Dot is designed for plaster-in installation during new builds or major refurbishments where the ceiling void is accessible before plastering. Retrofitting into an existing finished ceiling is not recommended as the bezel must be set into the plasterboard and plastered around to achieve the flush finish.
How much tilt does the mechanism allow?
The GU10 lamp holder tilts within the bezel aperture, allowing the bulb to be angled away from vertical to direct light onto walls, artwork or specific surface areas rather than straight down. The exact tilt range is not specified but is typical of adjustable recessed fittings in this category.
Is the Dot suitable for bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture ingress and must only be used in dry indoor locations. For bathroom zones, a higher IP-rated downlight is required.
