Description

The Knightsbridge Dipa is a twin-bulb recessed downlight with tiltable lamp holders set within an elongated oval black aperture. Each of the two GU10 lamp holders tilts up to 25° independently, allowing directional accent lighting or wall-washing from a recessed fitting. The outer bezel measures 185mm long by 93mm wide and projects just 3mm from the ceiling surface once installed.

Designed for residential living rooms, hallways, retail displays and hospitality spaces where directional lighting is needed without visible track or surface-mounted spots, the Dipa requires a 130mm minimum ceiling void depth and a 173mm x 82mm cutout. The drop-down lamp holder system allows GU10 bulbs to be installed and changed from below without removing the fitting from the ceiling, speeding maintenance in commercial settings. Tool-free cable termination and loop-in/loop-out wiring support rapid installation across multiple fittings.

The die-cast aluminium construction carries an IP20 rating for dry interior use and a Class II double-insulated electrical classification, eliminating the need for an earth connection. The black powder-coated finish provides a low-glare recessed aperture that sits flush with dark ceilings or creates deliberate contrast on white plasterwork. Each lamp holder accepts standard GU10 bulbs up to 10W per position (20W combined maximum), with dimming capability dependent on the bulb chosen. Bulbs are sold separately.

What bulbs does it take and are they included?

The Dipa takes two GU10 bulbs up to 10W each (20W combined maximum). Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED GU10s between 4-7W and 2700K-3000K for accent or ambient applications.

What ceiling void depth is required?

A minimum 130mm ceiling void is required to accommodate the fitting body and wiring. The cutout dimensions are 173mm x 82mm, and the bezel projects just 3mm below the ceiling surface once installed.

Can the lamp holders be angled?

Yes. Each of the two GU10 lamp holders tilts independently up to 25° from vertical, allowing the light to be directed onto wall surfaces, artwork, or specific zones within the room.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming capability depends on the GU10 bulb fitted. The Dipa fitting itself is compatible with dimmable GU10 LED bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. Check the bulb specification before purchasing if dimming is required.
