Description
The Dipa is a single-lamp recessed square downlight with a 25-degree tilt mechanism, housed in a die-cast aluminium black powder-coated frame measuring 93mm square. The tiltable lamp holder accepts a GU10 bulb (sold separately) and rotates within a deep recessed bezel that shields the bulb from direct view, reducing glare in residential, commercial and hospitality settings.
Designed for ceiling installation in living rooms, corridors, offices and hospitality spaces where directed accent lighting is needed without visible fittings, the Dipa requires a minimum void depth of 130mm above the ceiling surface and cuts into an 80mm x 80mm aperture. The tilt function allows the beam to be aimed at wall art, shelving, seating areas or architectural features rather than pointing straight down. The drop-down lamp holder clips out from below the ceiling, allowing bulb changes without removing the entire fitting or accessing the void.
The die-cast aluminium construction carries a Class II double-insulated rating and IP20 rating for dry indoor use. The black powder-coated finish provides a low-reflectance surface that recedes into dark ceilings or contrasts sharply against white plasterwork depending on the interior palette. The tool-free cable termination uses push-fit connectors with loop-in/loop-out capability, speeding up installation when wiring multiple downlights on a single circuit. The fitting is compatible with Knightsbridge fire hoods where fire rating compliance is required (check specific hood compatibility with the fire hood technical data).

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Dipa take?
The fitting takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 10W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a Knightsbridge GU10 LED in 2700K-4000K depending on the room application. Dimming capability depends on the bulb chosen.
What ceiling void depth is required?
A minimum 130mm void depth above the ceiling surface is needed to accommodate the fitting body and allow clearance for the tilting mechanism. The cut-out aperture is 80mm x 80mm square.
Can the tilt angle be adjusted after installation?
Yes. The lamp holder tilts up to 25 degrees from vertical and can be repositioned by hand from below the ceiling once the bulb is fitted, allowing you to aim the beam at the desired feature or surface.
Is the Dipa suitable for bathrooms?
The IP20 rating limits the Dipa to dry indoor locations. It is not suitable for bathroom zones where moisture or direct water contact may occur. For wet or damp locations, see Knightsbridge IP65-rated downlight ranges.
