Description
This dimmable LED GLS bulb has the classic rounded pear shape most of us picture when we think of a light bulb, with a frosted opal globe, a white body and a silver E27 screw cap. It draws 15W and gives 1,521lm of warm white light. The frosted globe spreads that light evenly, so you see a soft glow rather than a bright point, and the warm white tone sits well in rooms where you relax.
It fits any lamp or fitting that takes an E27 cap, the large Edison screw found in many table lamps, floor lamps and ceiling pendants. With 1,521lm from a single bulb, it is a good choice for a main ceiling light or a pendant over a dining table, where you want plenty of brightness. Because it is dimmable, the same bulb can be turned right down on a suitable dimmer switch for a quieter evening, so one bulb covers both bright and low light.
The bulb uses LED technology and carries energy class F. Before fitting it, check that your lamp or pendant accepts a 15W bulb and, if you plan to dim it, that your dimmer switch is suited to LED bulbs. Switch off and let the bulb cool before changing it, and wipe the frosted globe with a soft, dry cloth whenever it gathers dust so the light stays clear and even.
