Description

This is a two-metre length of surface-mounted lighting track in black, the rail that carries the lights in our Deva 24V system. It is two metres long, 11mm wide and 15mm high, so it reads as a fine dark line across the ceiling rather than a bulky channel. What you receive is the track itself: the track lights are not included and are bought separately, which leaves you free to choose the lights the run carries. The track runs at 24V DC and works with the range's 24V lighting track, sold separately.

Surface mounting means the track fixes straight onto the ceiling, with no recess to cut, which suits a room where cutting into the ceiling is not an option or where you would rather keep the work simple. It belongs indoors, in a living room, a hallway, a study or a dining area where light needs to follow the way the space is used. The lights sit along its length rather than at fixed points, so one run can pick out a table, a picture and a reading corner together. In black it draws a crisp line against a pale ceiling and settles quietly into a dark one.

The track is a slim black profile with an open channel running along its length, and the full two metres weighs 0.47KG. The maker gives an operating temperature of 0°C to 40°C, which comfortably covers a heated room indoors. Before you order, measure the run you have in mind and sketch where each light should fall: one length covers two metres, and a plan makes fitting quicker. We recommend a qualified electrician installs the system.
