Description

The Desigual compact semi-flush ceiling light pairs a matt black geometric frame with a single frosted opal glass sphere suspended inside a rectangular cage. The frame measures 190mm x 195mm and projects 305mm from the ceiling, placing the opal shade close to the ceiling plane while the open frame gives visual lightness. The fitting takes one E27 bulb (sold separately), which diffuses through the frosted glass to provide ambient light in rooms where a low-projection fitting is needed.

Designed for hallways, cloakrooms, small bedrooms and bathrooms (non-zoned areas only — this fitting carries no IP rating), the Desigual works in ceiling heights from 2.2m upwards. The compact footprint suits narrow corridors and awkward alcoves where a larger pendant or flush fitting would feel cramped. The matt black frame gives definition to the ceiling line and pairs cleanly with monochrome schemes, industrial interiors and contemporary minimalist rooms.

The frosted opal shade is held within the frame by black metal supports, giving the fitting a caged appearance without completely enclosing the glass. This open construction allows the bulb to be changed without removing the entire fitting from the ceiling — unscrew the shade retaining collar and the opal ball lifts free. The 1.6kg weight includes both the metal frame and glass shade, requiring secure fixing to a solid ceiling joist or plasterboard anchor rated for the load.
