The Deryn is a 3 light chandelier built around an inverted diamond-shaped frame in an antique grey finish, paired with three cylindrical seeded glass shades. Each shade houses an E27 bulb (sold separately, max 60W per socket) and sits on a polished nickel arm that extends from the central frame. The seeded glass creates a subtle bubbled texture that diffuses light without obscuring the filament completely, giving exposed-bulb styles a softer glow.

Designed for dining rooms, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Deryn sits 558mm wide and 470mm tall at the frame, with an adjustable drop from 416mm minimum to 2471mm maximum. The chain-suspended design allows the fixture to be set at the appropriate height above a table or island — typically 700-900mm above the surface depending on ceiling height. The polished nickel canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and conceals the chain and cable run.

The antique grey finish on the metal frame has a slightly weathered, brushed appearance that sits between raw steel and charcoal, pairing comfortably with both warm wood tones and cooler greys in contemporary and coastal interiors. The Deryn takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED filament bulbs between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K to complement the seeded glass and antique grey frame.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 416mm minimum drop works in rooms with 2.4m ceilings where the chandelier hangs as a feature rather than over a table. For dining tables or kitchen islands, a drop of 700-900mm above the surface is typical, requiring ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. The maximum 2471mm drop accommodates double-height spaces and stairwells.

Is the drop adjustable on installation?

Yes. The chain can be shortened during installation to set the chandelier at the desired height. The 1828mm chain length allows flexibility to position the fitting between 416mm and 2471mm from the ceiling.

What's the difference between seeded glass and clear glass?

Seeded glass contains small bubbles throughout the material, creating a subtle texture that diffuses light more softly than plain clear glass. It gives the chandelier a vintage, handblown appearance while still allowing the bulb filament to be visible inside the shade.
