Description
Our Deco Peacock rug in Terracotta brings an art deco pattern to the floor. Rows of fan shapes, each one drawn in fine pale lines like a peacock's spread tail, overlap in neat scallops across a warm terracotta ground with soft pink tones. A deeper terracotta border frames the design, with a slim pale line running just inside it, which gives the rug a tidy, finished edge. The design is digitally printed onto 100% polyester.
We think it belongs first in the hallway, and that is where the two runners come into their own. The 61 by 170cm runner suits a narrower hall, while the 76 by 230cm runner covers a longer stretch of floor from the front door onwards. The 76 by 150cm rug fits a small entrance or sits beside a bed, and the larger 122 by 170cm and 152 by 230cm sizes give a living room a warm centre, laid in front of a sofa or under a coffee table. The warm terracotta suits wood floors and pale walls especially well.
Hallways see muddy shoes, wet paws and plenty of comings and goings, so it helps that this rug is washable. Before you choose a size, measure your hall or the space in front of your sofa, allowing a strip of bare floor to show around the edges, then pick the runner or rug that fits it best.
