Description

The Davos is a 200mm rectangular outdoor LED wall light with integrated 24W LED delivering 2200 lumens of 3000K warm white light. The sand white powder-coated aluminium body houses four LEDs positioned to direct light both upward and downward, creating a symmetrical wash on the wall surface above and below the fitting. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction.

Designed for mounting on exterior walls, entrance porches, garden walls and covered outdoor spaces, the Davos provides functional illumination for pathways and doors while highlighting the architectural surface it's mounted to. The 100mm projection keeps the fitting close to the wall, and the 100mm height gives a low-profile presence that suits both residential and light commercial installations. The upward-downward light distribution avoids direct glare and instead uses the wall as a reflector.

The sand white finish is a warm off-white rather than a stark bright white, allowing the fitting to blend with cream, stone and light-painted render finishes common on UK exterior walls. The rectangular profile measures 200mm wide by 100mm tall with a 100mm projection from the wall, giving it a horizontal rather than square proportion. The non-dimmable LED is factory-fitted and rated for 30,000+ hours of operation, removing the need for bulb replacement during typical residential ownership.

The IP54 rating protects against dust and splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for covered outdoor areas, porches and walls under eaves. It is not rated for full weather exposure such as open coastal locations with driving rain. For fully exposed walls, consider an IP65-rated fitting.

Can it be installed above a door?

Yes. The 100mm height and upward-downward light distribution make the Davos well-suited to mounting above entrance doors where it provides both task lighting for the threshold and architectural wash lighting on the wall above. The 2200lm output is sufficient for most residential door positions.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for 30,000+ hours, which equates to approximately 10 years of typical residential use at 8 hours per day. At end of life the entire fitting would need replacing.

What wiring is required?

The fitting requires a mains 230V supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with current wiring regulations. The fitting does not include a junction box — external wiring must terminate in a suitable weatherproof enclosure or be chased into the wall behind the mounting plate.
