Description

The Dallas is a 12-light semi-flush ceiling light built on a brass frame with twelve white blown glass globe shades, each housing a G9 bulb. The frame extends six brass arms from a central hub in a molecular arrangement, with each arm terminating in two glass globes at staggered heights. The 60cm diameter spread and 20cm projection from ceiling to lowest globe suit rooms with ceiling heights from 2.3m upward.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms where a decorative ceiling fitting is needed but pendant drop would intrude, the Dallas provides distributed light across the ceiling plane rather than downward task light. The twelve G9 bulbs (sold separately) allow users to choose between warm white LED for ambient lighting or higher-wattage halogen for brighter general illumination. The semi-flush mount fixes directly to a standard UK ceiling rose with the canopy sitting flush against the ceiling.

The brass frame finish shows as a mid-tone warm gold without high polish, reducing glare when the bulbs are lit. Each white glass globe is individually blown, so minor variations in shape and thickness are normal. The metal construction and IP20 rating limit the Dallas to dry indoor use — it is not rated for bathrooms or outdoor installation. The 60cm width works well over dining tables for six to eight people or in living rooms of 16-25m² where ceiling-mounted light is preferred over floor or table lamps.

The Dallas takes twelve G9 bulbs at 28W maximum per bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit 2.5-4W warm white LED G9 bulbs at 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting, giving a combined 30-48W output across all twelve fittings.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fitting projects 20cm from the ceiling. Rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or above can accommodate the Dallas comfortably. In rooms with 2.4m ceilings, the lowest globes sit at approximately 2.2m from the floor, clearing standard head height.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the G9 bulbs fitted. Dimmable LED G9 bulbs paired with a trailing-edge dimmer will allow dimming. Non-dimmable bulbs or incompatible dimmer types will flicker or fail to dim properly.

Can it be fitted in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Dallas is only suitable for dry indoor rooms. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher for zones near baths, showers and basins.
