Description

The Dalia is a 40cm square wall light built around two overlapping square frames, an outer rust brown frame surrounding an inner gold-leaf panel. The integrated 40W LED sits behind the gold panel, casting warm 3000K light through the gold-leaf surface and creating a backlit glow around the edges where the two frames overlap. The result is a layered three-dimensional effect with the central gold panel appearing to float inside the darker brown surround.

Designed for hallways, dining rooms and living room accent walls, the Dalia works where ambient light is needed without a strong directional beam. The 2800lm output is comparable to a traditional 200W incandescent bulb, providing enough light for a 3-4m hallway or as supplementary lighting in a larger room. The 80mm projection from the wall gives depth to the frame overlap without intruding far into circulation space. The fitting is non-dimmable and designed for mains-wired installation on a standard UK lighting circuit.

The gold-leaf inner panel is applied over a metal substrate and shows slight tonal variation and texture under close inspection, characteristic of applied metallic finishes. The rust brown outer frame is powder-coated steel with a low-sheen matte surface. The combination of warm brown and reflective gold pairs well with walnut or oak furniture, terracotta or rust-toned textiles, and warm neutral wall colours in the cream-to-beige range. At 3.55kg the fitting requires a secure fixing into masonry or a stud wall with appropriate wall plugs.

No. The integrated 40W LED is non-dimmable and runs at full 2800lm output when switched on. If dimming is required, this fitting is not suitable.

What wall fixing is needed for the 3.55kg weight?

The Dalia requires secure fixing into masonry using appropriate wall plugs rated for the weight, or into timber studs using wood screws. Plasterboard-only fixings are not suitable for this weight without a stud or noggin behind.

How bright is 2800lm in practical terms?

2800lm is comparable to a traditional 200W incandescent bulb. This is enough to light a 3-4m hallway or act as supplementary ambient lighting in a larger living room or dining room, but not enough to serve as the sole light source in a room larger than 12-15 square metres.

Can the LED be replaced when it fails?

The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use, which equates to around 11 years at 6 hours per day. The fitting carries a 3-year warranty.
