Description
The Knightsbridge CyroLED is a fire-rated fixed LED downlight with selectable colour temperature (3000K, 4000K, 5000K, 6500K) and dual wattage options (4W or 6W), sold as a pack of ten white-bezel units. Each downlight houses an integrated LED module behind an 86mm diameter pressed steel bezel with an IP65 front rating, making it suitable for installation in bathrooms, showers and other humid environments where water contact from below is possible.
Fire-rated to 30/60/90 minutes and IC-rated for direct contact with insulation in loft spaces, the CyroLED meets UK Building Regulations for fire compartmentation in ceilings. The 31mm recessed depth fits standard ceiling voids without modification, and the loop-in/loop-out connectors reduce wiring time across multi-unit installations. The 55° beam angle provides general ambient light rather than narrow spotlighting, suitable for hallways, kitchens, bathrooms and retail spaces where even coverage is needed.
Each unit allows on-site selection of both colour temperature and wattage via switches accessed before final installation, so a single stock SKU can serve warm-white living rooms (3000K), neutral office spaces (4000K), or cool task areas (5000K/6500K) without ordering separate models. The downlight is dimmable via trailing-edge dimmers — leading-edge compatibility should be checked with the dimmer manufacturer before specifying. The white bezel can be swapped for optional coloured bezels sold separately.

Frequently Asked
Is this downlight suitable for bathrooms?
Yes. The IP65 front rating protects the LED module from water splashes and steam from below, making it suitable for bathroom zones 1 and 2 (outside the shower cubicle itself). The IP20 rating from above means the ceiling void above the fitting must remain dry.
What does selectable CCT mean?
Each downlight has a switch accessible during installation that selects one of four colour temperatures: 3000K (warm white), 4000K (neutral white), 5000K (cool white), or 6500K (daylight). Once set, the colour temperature is fixed unless you access the switch again.
What ceiling void depth is needed?
The downlight requires a minimum 31mm recessed depth from the finished ceiling surface. Most UK residential ceilings provide 100-150mm void depth, so this fitting is suitable for standard construction.
Can these be dimmed?
Yes, the CyroLED is compatible with trailing-edge dimmers. Leading-edge dimmer compatibility varies by manufacturer, so check with the dimmer supplier before specifying. Not all LED dimmers will work smoothly with all LED downlights.
