At 54.5cm wide and 71.5cm tall, our Curious Lounge Chair sits low and compact, which makes it a practical choice for reading corners, bedrooms and smaller living spaces where a full armchair would feel bulky. The depth of 66.4cm gives you room to settle back into the small curved backrest, while the modest footprint means we can slot this chair into spots that other seating simply cannot reach. It weighs 19kg for the chair itself, with a further 2kg seat cushion, so it stays steady in use without being awkward to reposition when you fancy a change.

The seat and backrest are shaped from plywood, giving a firm and supportive form rather than an upholstered one, and they rest on four slim splayed brass legs made from steel. We like the way those brass legs lift the wooden seat clear of the floor, keeping the whole piece looking light and open. The cushion is finished in polyester from the Horizons S and Teddy Bear fabrics, adding a softer layer where you sit.
