Description

The Cumbuco II is a 500mm round flush ceiling light with an integrated 40W LED delivering 2800 lumens through an opal acrylic diffuser, framed by a narrow white metal band. The fitting projects just 68mm from the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with standard or lower ceiling heights where a pendant or semi-flush would hang too low. A three-way CCT switch allows selection between 2700K extra warm white, 3300K warm white, and 4000K cool white, chosen once during installation.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms, home offices and hallways where overhead ambient light is needed without visual clutter, the Cumbuco II mounts flush to the ceiling rose and distributes light across a 145-degree beam angle. The 500mm diameter provides general illumination for rooms up to approximately 12-15 square metres. The white finish blends into white or light-coloured ceilings, while the diffuser itself becomes the visible element when the light is on.

The opal diffuser softens the LED array behind it into an even field of light with no visible hotspots or individual LED points. The white metal band that frames the diffuser is approximately 15mm wide, giving the fitting a defined edge without adding bulk. At 1.7kg the fitting mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose using the included fixings, with the diffuser clipping off for bulb-free maintenance if the LED module ever needs replacement under the 3-year warranty.

Is the Cumbuco II suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 68mm projection from ceiling to face of the diffuser makes this a good choice for rooms with 2.3m or lower ceilings where a pendant or semi-flush would feel intrusive. The flush mount keeps the fitting out of the sightline when standing in the room.

How is the colour temperature changed?

A three-position switch inside the fitting allows selection between 2700K, 3300K, and 4000K. The setting is chosen once during installation and requires removing the diffuser to access the switch. It is not controlled from the wall switch.

What room size does it suit?

The 2800 lumen output and 500mm diameter suit rooms up to approximately 12-15 square metres as primary ambient lighting. Larger rooms or spaces needing higher light levels may benefit from two fittings or supplementary task lighting.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches. The wall switch operates as on/off only.
