Description

The Cuadrax is a 2 light wall fitting with twin frosted glass cubes mounted on a horizontal antique brass bar frame. Each cube sits in an antique brass collar connected to the central rectangular backplate, and houses a single G9 bulb (sold separately). The frosted glass diffuses the light output across all six faces of each cube, providing soft ambient illumination rather than directional task light.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, and living room feature walls, the Cuadrax works as a single fitting or in symmetrical pairs flanking a mirror, artwork or doorway. The 240mm width and 135mm projection suit walls where deeper bracket or articulated-arm fittings would protrude too far into circulation space. The horizontal bar structure keeps the light sources at a consistent height, making the fitting suitable for installation at eye level (1.5-1.7m from finished floor) without direct glare from the bulbs.

The antique brass finish is a mid-tone satin brass with a slightly aged patina, warmer than polished brass and less reflective than brushed brass. The frosted glass cubes are hand-blown into moulds, so slight variation in the frosting density and internal air bubbles is normal and gives each cube a slightly different light diffusion pattern when lit. The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible G9 dimmable LED bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer switch.

The Cuadrax requires two G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this fitting with 2.5W-4W G9 LED bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient bedroom or hallway lighting. Maximum wattage depends on the bulb type — check the bulb packaging.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable G9 LED bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch. The fitting itself is dimmer-ready but the bulbs must also be rated as dimmable for the system to work correctly.

What height should it be fitted at?

For hallways and bedrooms, typical installation height is 1.5-1.7m from finished floor to the centre of the backplate. This places the frosted glass shades at eye level without causing direct glare. For use flanking a mirror or artwork, align the fitting centre with the centre line of the object being framed.

Can the glass cubes be replaced if damaged?
