Description

The Cuadrax is a 240mm-wide wall light mounting two frosted glass cube shades on a polished chrome horizontal bar. Each shade is a double-walled cube with a clear outer glass layer and a frosted inner tube, housing a single G9 bulb (sold separately). The chrome bar projects 135mm from the wall and sits on a rectangular chrome backplate 140mm tall.

Designed for bathroom mirrors, hallway pairs and bedroom reading positions, the Cuadrax works where directed light is needed at eye level or above. The 240mm width suits single installation above a basin or in symmetrical pairs flanking a mirror or headboard. The frosted inner tube diffuses the G9 bulb output into a soft glow while the clear outer cube retains geometric definition under daylight. The fitting is rated IP20, making it suitable for zones outside bathroom splash areas (zone 3 and beyond).

The polished chrome finish provides high reflectivity, which pairs well with white tiles, marble surfaces and cool-toned contemporary bathrooms. The double-wall glass construction gives each shade visual depth — the frosted tube appears to float inside the clear outer cube. At 1.1kg the fitting mounts securely to plasterboard with appropriate cavity fixings or directly to solid walls. The G9 socket accepts LED, halogen or capsule bulbs; pairing with dimmable G9 LEDs allows brightness control when installed on a compatible dimmer circuit.

The fitting takes two G9 capsule bulbs (sold separately). Most users pair it with G9 LED bulbs rated between 2W-5W and 2700K-3000K warm white. G9 halogen bulbs up to 40W are also compatible, though LED provides better efficiency and cooler operation.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and installed on a compatible dimmer circuit. The fitting itself has no built-in dimming — dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs used and the dimmer switch specification.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The fitting is rated IP20, which limits it to zone 3 and beyond in bathrooms (outside splash areas). It can be installed above a basin or mirror where direct water contact is unlikely, but should not be placed inside a shower enclosure or within reach of a bath tap.

How is the glass cleaned?

The clear outer cube can be wiped with standard glass cleaner. The frosted inner tube is sealed inside the outer cube and does not need cleaning unless the shade is disassembled. Switch off at the mains before cleaning and allow bulbs to cool completely.
