Description

The Crusade is a 279mm outdoor wall lantern built around a caged glass cylinder with horizontal bands crossing clear seeded glass. The seeded texture softens light from the single E27 bulb (sold separately) whilst the cage frame casts shadow lines onto the surrounding wall and ground. The black composite construction resists fading and weathering in outdoor conditions.

Designed for porch entrances, side door areas and patio zones where compact wall lighting is needed, the Crusade carries an IP44 rating for protection against rain and splashing water. The 200mm projection places the lantern 150-180mm clear of the wall surface, giving enough stand-off to cast useful light downward and sideways without the bulb glaring directly into eyes as you approach the door. The traditional cage-and-glass design pairs with period properties, cottage exteriors and Arts and Crafts-style builds.

The composite frame material is lighter than cast aluminium or steel, making installation onto masonry or rendered walls straightforward with standard wall plugs and screws. The black powder-coat finish is applied over the composite base and runs into the recesses of the cage detail, providing consistent colour coverage without the corrosion vulnerability of metal alternatives. The clear seeded glass cylinder sits inside the cage and is removable for bulb changes without dismounting the entire fitting.
