Description

The Crelvette is a round LED flush ceiling light that sits close to the ceiling, 43cm across and just 7cm deep, so it suits rooms where a pendant would hang too low. A white steel body carries a white plastic diffuser with a crystal effect: tiny flecks catch the light and scatter small points of sparkle across the surface whenever the LEDs are lit. The LEDs are integrated and give 3,000lm, a generous output for a main ceiling light. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms, away from bathrooms and outside walls.

Because it is a smart light, this suits anyone who wants one ceiling light to do several jobs. The colour temperature adjusts from 2700K, a warm light for relaxed evenings, to 6500K, a crisp cool light for working or cleaning. It dims and changes colour, it is controlled by app, and it works with Zigbee, so it can join a smart home set-up you already run. It also works with a remote control, sold separately. In a living room, a bedroom, a hallway or a home office, the slim white disc blends with a plain ceiling and keeps the room feeling uncluttered.

There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall and runs on mains at 220-240V, 50/60Hz. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. The LED and driver are replaceable by a specialist, so a worn part need not mean a whole new light. It weighs 0.8KG and carries an energy class of D. Before you order, check the space around your ceiling point: at 43cm across it covers a good area, while its 7cm depth keeps it tight to the ceiling.
