Description

The Crelvette is a round LED flush ceiling light in white, 43cm across and 7cm high, with a steel body and a white plastic diffuser that gives a soft, even glow. The LEDs are integrated and give 3,000lm, so there is never a bulb to buy or change. It carries an IP20 rating, which settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room. Its slim, close-to-the-ceiling profile keeps the light up and out of the way, which suits rooms where headroom is short.

Being a flush fitting, it works well in a living room, bedroom, hallway, kitchen or dining room, anywhere a hanging pendant would crowd the space. The colour temperature adjusts from a warm 2700K to a cool 6500K, so the same light can be soft and cosy in the evening and crisp and bright for cooking, homework or reading. It is dimmable and colour-changing too, which means one ceiling light can set a calm mood for a film night and then give clear, practical light the next morning. With 3,000lm it is bright enough to serve as the main light in a room rather than a supporting one.

This is a smart home light: it is controlled by app, works with Zigbee and also works with a remote control, sold separately. It has no switch of its own and is switched at the wall, so the light switch in the room still controls it. The LED and driver can be replaced by a specialist, so a single worn part need not mean a new light. It runs on 220-240V mains and carries energy class D. As a wired-in ceiling light, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available to download.
