The Crelvette is a square LED panel light that sits close to the ceiling, 43cm long and 43cm wide with softly rounded corners, and just 7cm high. A white steel body carries a white plastic shade that works as a diffuser, so once fitted the whole light reads as one clean white square. The light source is integrated LED, made up of six lights at 5.5W each, every one giving 600lm, at a colour temperature of 3000K for a warm white tone. It is rated IP20, and that settles where it belongs: indoors, in a dry room.

Being so slim, it suits rooms where a hanging pendant would feel in the way: landings, hallways, bedrooms and living rooms with lower ceilings, or a home office where you want the ceiling kept clear. The square outline sits neatly in line with the walls, which gives a tidy, ordered look in a modern or simple scheme. The 3000K light keeps the room feeling warm rather than clinical, so it works as the main light in a space for relaxing as much as a space for working. Because it is IP20, we would keep it to dry rooms and away from bathrooms and other damp places.

Because the LEDs are integrated, there is no bulb to buy or change. It is not dimmable and has no switch of its own, so it runs from your ordinary wall switch, on a 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains supply, with an energy class of F. The packed weight is 1.682KG. As a mains light wired in at the ceiling, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download, so you and your electrician can read them in advance.
